Gordon Piper

Introduction

Through the miracle of modern computer technology I first met Gordon shortly after Christmas of 2000. I approached him initially as a devoted fan of Bob Hatfield and "A Country Practice" (ACP), but since then I have also found a friend to treasure.

This web site is a modest monument to both "The Sentimental Bloke" Robert Menzies Hatfield, and the multi-talented, courageous and generous-spirited Gordon Piper. It is meant to be a cyber-library of information and materials relevant to Gordon's long and productive career in Australian entertainment.

In December of 2001 I was delighted to receive a very special package from Gordon that included many ACP related publicity photographs of Bob as well as other career memorabilia. I knew Gordon wanted me to share these items with all of his fans. I decided this web site is the best way to present all of this material to all of you from Gordon. Since this site has Gordon's blessings and his full support and lots of assistance I have labeled it an official fan site. However, any errors and omissions are completely my responsibility, not Gordon's so please contact me should you find any.
